Here is what the manufacturer has to say about it: "In ancient mythology, the symbolism of the majestic Phoenix bird, which is most often connected with the Sun, dies and is reborn across cultures and throughout time. Ancient legend paints a picture of a magical bird, radiant and shimmering, which lives for several hundred years before it dies by bursting into flames. It is then reborn from the ashes, to start a new, long life. It is brilliantly colored in reds, purples and yellows, as it is associated with the rising sun and fire. Its eyes are blue and shine like sapphires. It builds its own funeral pyre or nest, and ignites it with a single clap of its wings. After death it rises gloriously from the ashes and flies away. So we can safely claim that our phoenix may fly away, out of our inventory as fast as it arrives. Seriously, this is a high demand item, so get it while you can. The ‘Rising Phoenix’ mold can be used with clay or resin, as well as with food decoration mediums such as chocolate or fondant. When using resin with this mold, we recommend that you apply a release agent first, for example a thin layer of cooking oil spray. When using polymer or air-dry clay with this mold, we recommend that you apply a fine layer of cornstarch, talcum powder or water on the mold before filling it with clay."
